“I had a pretty good idea of what to expect of the course from the website and it did not fail to disappoint. The PT sessions were challenging but strangely enjoyable too. There’s a little bit for everyone – whether it is long walks in the beautiful countryside or the early morning PT sessions or the fascinating nutritional and fitness advice you get. I did not think about my job once so whilst not physically relaxing it certainly distracts from the pressures of everyday life.

Walking on the hike“Renew Fitness for a Renew You! Most people think that fitness camps or retreats are all about losing weight or dropping a dress size! I have to admit, I did lose weight and ‘yes’ I’m happy about this. However due to the personalised nature of the course I was given specific exercises and advice to help me strengthen my shoulder, after an injury I had suffered 2 years ago made it very weak. After just one week at Renew Fitness, my own personal trainer has noticed an increase in my strength and I am now able to exercise more freely and for longer periods of time with very little discomfort.” Jayne B, The Netherlands  “I had the most amazing weekend and have not stopped buzzing since! My goal was to improve my fitness and ‘work-out smarter’ which I definitely did and have taken lots of tips away with me. The exercise was definitely challenging and pushed my boundaries, the retreat kick-started me into other more fun activities! I thought it was great how the Personal Trainers were able to tailor group sessions to each individual taking part, but the group stayed together and you worked to your own abilities.
Group photo of the March 2011 course ladiesIf you are worried about feeling hungry on the course – don’t be – the food is always tasty and the knowledge that you are fueling your body with goodness is a great feeling. I know now it was habit that was making me think I needed more food and I began to listen to my body and not overload it.
The weekend programme is packed full of activities, talks, demonstrations, but relaxation is planned in too, making the weekend a body and mind refresher.
Last, but by no means least, the other women on the course were all fabulous! I had a great time getting to know everyone and whatever your reason for attending the course, it is a massive comfort to meet like-minded ladies from all over the country.

“Who comes on our courses?” 

Lots of women, for all different reasons and all levels of fitness: 

  • We have clients who want to lose weight sensibly and tone up whilst others need a kick-start to their exercise routine.
  • Some have low self-esteem about their bodies and want to feel good about themselves again…
  • …while others are suffering from stress and need to detox and de-stress with a healthy holiday. 
  • We’ve helped mums on our courses who would like to lose weight post-pregnancy in a sensible way and also to have some much needed time for themselves.
  • Some women come to us to prepare for their wedding day making sure they look the best they can and others want to look fab in their bikini!
  • Similarly, joining our courses after Christmas and for the detox period is also a popular time for clients to join us.

Our courses are suitable for those who want to start introducing exercise into their lives to those who are already fit and need a challenge or to detox. Hereford is a great location for a healthy holiday and is one of the nicest ‘staycation’ holiday destinations in England.
